In 2018, a Cheshire based family commissioned Moss Technical to complete a Niko Home Control installation in their new build property.
The client had researched other home automation providers but felt that the ‘future proofing’ qualities of Niko Home Control were superior to any other options in the smart home market. The added benefits of security and safety were equally important but the crucial factor was the clients desire for an energy efficient home that didn’t impact the aesthetic qualities of the build or interior design.
The brief was to install a fully integrated electrical installation to offer benefits including NHC’s lighting control, heating control, ventilation control, motor control, touch screen control and video entry as well as TV HD distribution and a host of other AV solutions such as a universal remote-control system to manage the TV, CCTV and audio functions. They also required intruder and smoke alarms to ensure the family’s safety at all times.
An electrician had already been contracted by the homeowners, as part of the build cost, so Moss Technical worked with an external electrician to manage the initial wiring stage. Although the project did encounter some minor setbacks, the Niko Home Control installation has allowed the family many benefits.

“Niko Home Control has given me total control of my home. I can sit on the sofa and control pretty much anything. I have a holiday home and I can even manage my UK home from there. I can see who’s at the front door without having to go and answer it and I can make sure that when I am away I can see who’s calling in from the gate without them knowing I’m not there”.
