By providing the correct level of product training and support to the installer, both initially and ongoing, the product itself – Niko Home Control - with its vast capabilities and control options, cost effectiveness and energy saving features, sells itself.

Company history

Moss Technical was founded in 1998 by Andy Moss, an aircraft electronics engineer in the Royal Air Force, who dreamed of owning and developing a business founded on the qualities learned during his service in the RAF: Dependability, integrity, professionalism and on-going commitment to the very highest standards.

Through studying electronics in depth, Andy attained the skill and knowledge needed to work closely with the technical requirements of Niko Home Control systems and related products. Andy and his team now offer expert, industry accredited support and assistance to clients and installers, alongside exceptional Niko and other specialist products.

With two fully grown, successful businesses to their name, our Niko Home Control distribution company has a bright and promising future ahead. None of this however, would have been possible without the drive and dedication of the team at Moss Technical who work hard together to always put the customers' needs before their own.

Moss Technical are proud of the opportunity that has been bestowed on them as the UK distributor, by the management of one of the largest manufacturers of electrical and electronic control equipment in Europe, Belgian based Niko.

Andy Moss, Managing Director

With over 30 years of electrical and electronics experience, starting with a career in the Royal Air Force and working on state-of-the-art military aircraft, to the latest in smart home technology, Andy's impeccable technical training and ever-expanding development within the field of electronics gives our highly successful business the technical cutting edge which keeps us at the forefront of our industry.

With the support of the Moss Tech team, Andy has managed to steadily push the business forward using his ingenuity and dedication: "All team members working together to get where they want the company to go is a key part of every successful business!".

As co-founder of the business, Nicky’s astute perception has helped the business grow in a controlled way to what it is today. With a fun but fair outlook on life and business, Nicky is integral to ensuring the company has a happy and motivated team.

Nicky’s ability to multi-task ensures that shipments go out on time, whilst booking flights and accommodation. At the same time as running a charity that she founded from scratch; Cost of Cancer, Charity No. 1165956, a charity that gives grants and pays bills for cancer sufferers to help ease the financial burden and worries.

Tisha Barnes

Tisha Barnes, Accounts Manager

Tisha has been an integral part of the business for 16 years, seeing it grow from just 3 members of staff, to what it is today.

Initially joining the company in a general administrative role and taking on more responsibilities as time went by, helping steer the company through the recession. More recently, Tisha has become Accounts Manager, and keeps the company financials in check and healthy, and is an essential part of our growing team.

Tisha has been an integral part of the business for 16 years, seeing it grow from just 3 members of staff, to what it is today.

Initially joining the company in a general administrative role and taking on more responsibilities as time went by, helping steer the company through the recession. More recently, Tisha has become Accounts Manager, and keeps the company financials in check and healthy, and is an essential part of our growing team.

Gareth Loye, Niko Support Engineer

Gareth joined the team in 2013 as an electrician, and has developed his skills and knowledge to become Andy’s right-hand-man with Niko technical and UK Partner support. Gareth has become a valuable technician and field engineer, supporting our UK Partners as well as our electrical and security work responsibilities. Gareth continues to grow and develop his skills and experience, more recently becoming a part of the decision making part of the business.

Gareth joined the team in 2013 as an electrician, and has developed his skills and knowledge to become Andy’s right-hand-man with Niko technical and UK Partner support. Karen Griffiths

Karen Griffiths, Accounts Administrator

Karen joined us in 2019 to help support the electrical, security and finance staff. Since joining the team, she has fully embraced her role. Karen has now taken full control of the alarm maintenance co-ordination along with booking in a majority of our electrical works.

Karen has proven to be a welcome asset to the team.
